As we start each wedding season, I’m always surprised at the emotions that come along with wedding days for me – instead of feeling like I’m “at work”, every wedding day still feels like a special occasion. Some weddings are extra sweet, and Anna and Cole’s day at Audubon Country Club was one of those. With Anna being the third Lowe sister we’ve photographed, it was like catching up with old friends as we joined their family once again. 

The Audubon Country Club provided a stunning backdrop for the day, with perfect weather capping off a perfect day.  As we walked the course to take Anna and Cole’s portraits, I mentioned that this was one of my favorite ceremony locations – the trees look as though they had been grown for the very purpose of hosting a wedding. 

There were so many moments of the day that I could mention.  One especially bittersweet moment was when the groomsmen raised their glasses to Cole’s late grandfather. We captured a portrait that mirrored one they had taken at Cole’s brother’s wedding when their grandfather was living and it was a profound reminder of the legacy we leave behind in our families.  

The real magic happened when Anna and Cole first laid eyes on each other. In that moment, amidst the busyness of the day, all the stress seemed to melt away as they focused on each other’s presence.  The easy way they talk to each other, Anna’s eyes sparkling and Cole’s HUGE grin revealed the comfort and love they find in each other.  

Throughout the day, the Audubon Country Club provided the perfect setting for both intimate moments and lively celebrations, capturing the essence of their love and the joy of the occasion.
