If you know Jeremy or I, you know that we like to plan things. We like the research, making planning lists, using fancy planning software (for him) or plain ‘ol Excel (for me) and just talking about plans. Our perfect date – a long walk with uninterrupted time to talk about random work, home and family plans. So, when I started to work with Allison as she planned her wedding day, I could tell right away that she was a “kindred spirit” (for all you Anne of Green Gables fans). Her planning skills were even referenced in her sweet matron of honor’s speech, remembering back to when they were in college together when Allison listed homework assignments out in a spreadsheet. Allison is an expert planner and it was clear throughout the day that things went so smoothly because of her meticulous forethought.

But in addition to planning, Allison and Roger are thoughtful people. Their care for each other and others was evident throughout the day – they had lunch prepared for the wedding party and us (so kind!), they included family in the ceremony (Roger’s father played the piano throughout – he is an incredibly skilled musician! And Allison’s mom made the amazing florals) and they were constantly attentive to each other’s needs. During their first look, their faces literally glowed with happiness when they saw each other. The joy of their friends and families in celebrating Roger and Allison was so evident – what a delight that the Lord brought them together to spend the rest of their lives together!
