I don’t think I’ve ever laughed as much or photographed as much laughter as I did watching Brea and Daniel. Their joy is INFECTIOUS. They are two peas in a pod who laughed their way through their beautiful wedding day. Their wedding party was DELIGHTFUL, their families were so kind and relaxed – and it all reflected Brea and Daniel’s personalities. You know the phrase “he can’t take his eyes off her”? It’s not often you get to see this happen in real life – but when Brea walked down the aisle and stood parallel with Daniel at the altar, he simply could not get enough of her. His sideways glances at his bride were the most precious thing and I nearly teared up to see the fulfillment of months of anticipation. After we met Brea and Daniel, we realized we had a ton of connections to Daniel – lots of friends in common (he even showed up at a recent wedding we photographed!). And when we started talking to people about Daniel, we heard the same thing: “He is the most servant-hearted person I know”, “He loves his friends so well”, “He is just so kind”. Daniel is the kind of guy who brings dinner to new parents (when’s the last time you knew a single guy who did that?!), who babysits his nephew, who stays late to help clean up and who will pour himself out for the sake of the Church. It’s no wonder Brea knew he was the one she wanted to marry so quickly! As for Brea, joy just spills out of her eyes all day long – she is the perfect match for Daniel, joins him in his service of others (even in her job as a nurse) and loves her family so much! Seeing the two of them together, it’s impossible not to smile. My favorite moments of the day: the first look between Brea and her brothers and dad, the precious letters that Brea and Daniel wrote to each other, the quiet moments of prayer before the ceremony, the FUN and Christ-honoring ceremony (how often do you get to see both of those things in a ceremony?!), the sweet moments of pure joy after the recessional, the toasts (the same theme of love and generosity in each) and finally, when we were taking portraits at sunset, when Brea was walking with her new husband and said “Oh, I forgot we were taking photos, I was just enjoying our walk!” Brea and Daniel, we are so glad we got to get to know you better over the past few months and are THRILLED for you to start your married life together! Congratulations!
